Double E originated hydraulic action oil savers and maintains its leadership in the wireline industry with four basic models, each of which offers superior line wiping efficiency, safe and secure pressure control, and the assurance of long, trouble-free life. Hydraulic pumps and hoses as well as all line sizes are available for all Double E oil savers.
Type C and Type CL
Types C and CL (5,000 psi working pressure) are identical in design and differ only in size and weight. They’re constructed of heat-treated alloy steel with a corrosion-resistant CAD-plated surface finish. Type C, our most popular oil saver, weighs 20 pounds and measures 13-1⁄2 inches high. Its minimum bore is 1-5⁄8 inches, and its available thread sizes are 2-3⁄8 inch and 2-7⁄8 inch EU. Type CL weighs 29 pounds, stands 15-1⁄2 inches high, and has a minimum bore of 1-13⁄16 inches. Its thread sizes are 2-7⁄8 inch EU and 3-1⁄2 inch (OD) LP.
Double E can also supply dual C or CL oil savers in a tandem assembly for applications in which a single oil saver is not enough.
Type 410
Type 410 (3,000 psi working pressure) offers an ideal match for any wireline operation. Constructed of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, it features a stair-step rubber design for even wear and excellent longevity. The rubber can be quickly changed from the top simply by removing a U-bolt. It weighs 42 pounds and measures 15-1⁄2 inches high. Its minimum bore is 1-13⁄16 inches. Thread sizes are 2-3⁄8 inch or 2-7⁄8 inch EU, and 3-1⁄2 inch (OD) LP.
Type MT
Type MT (2,500 psi working pressure) has the largest rubber on the market, providing better sealing action, longer wear, and considerable savings in trouble and cost. The large rubber also eliminates the need for a tandem stripper. Designed for easy, convenient use, the MT features identical brass bushings, top and bottom; a snap ring for simplified assembly when changing plunger seals; a large inside diameter for passing a 2 inch swab; and a heavy spring for fast release of pressure on the rubber. It weighs 47 pounds, measures 15-1⁄2 inches high, and offers available thread sizes of 2-7⁄8 inch EU and 2-7⁄8 or 3-1⁄2 inch (OD) LP.
