Pollution Control Stuffing Box
The dual-packed design Pollution Control (PC) Stuffing Box is rated for 3,000 psi working pressure and available with flanged or threaded connections for standard or H2S service. It can be used in conjunction with the Double E Leak Sensor to ensure automatic shutdown until the leak has been eliminated. On detecting a leak, the sensor sends an electric signal to a controller, which deactivates the pump, pressurizes the bottom section of the PC Stuffing Box, and seals the lower packing against the polished rod. In normal operation the upper section of the stuffing box fulfills the packing function. The lower packing can be activated by a grease gun or any source of hydraulic pressure. Weighs 12 pounds; stands 9 inches high.
