Double E Type LP (1,500 psi wp) and Type HP6 (3,000 psi wp) production BOPs can be permanently installed between the tubing head and pumping tee, or between the pumping tee and stuffing box. They can be used to pack off a pumping well by sealing on either the polished rod or the sucker rods — or without rods when equipped with suitable rams — and can be trimmed for sour service or furnished with special elastomeric seals for pressure and temperature extremes.
These standard, manually operated BOPs can also be modified for hydraulic ram activation. When pulling rods under pressure during well-servicing operations, our basic production BOPs can be used for stand-by or emergency pressure control in combination with a Double E sucker-rod stripper.
