Our Standard and Gas Line packers are designed to shut off perforations and casing leaks. There are no requirements for setting them other than lowering to the desired depth. Two packers will straddle a casing leak and seal off a bad section of casing or a perforation. Assembled as part of the tubing string, they have no effect on setting completion packers or anchors. When the section of leaking casing is short, one joint of tubing will usually suffice. When the leaking section is long or its exact location is unknown, several joints of tubing and pipe can be installed between the packers. Differential pressures cause the cups to seal against the casing; the cups can be turned to face in either direction.
